The survey of amphibians and reptiles for Bukhan Mountain area was conducted from May to October in 2007. As a result amphibians were 2 orders, 5 families and 8 species, whereas reptiles were 1 order, 2 families and 4 species. Kaloula borealis, an endangered species designated by the Ministry of Environment, was observed. Amphibians and reptiles are in the middle of the food chain and play an important role of maintaining the balance of the ecosystem. Accordingly the purpose of this survey was to identify the amphibia and reptilia fauna in Bukhan Mountain area as a part of natural resource survey of the national parks.
