The pivot point provides the hair design a common language, based on the common language of the hair technique term, hair designers can perform their job of creating beauty productively and creatively by means of the technique of the pivot point design regardless of customer’s type and a place. The hair styling as important as the fashion style accounts for the majority proportion of the personal image making to the extent that they say it occupies around 70%. There are a variety of techniques to make a hairstyle beautiful, the up-style among them enable us to make a desired image according to a place and a person to meet by utilizing diverse hairstyle design. The study on cut or foam design of the pivot point has been conducting steadily, but the study on the up-style design to utilize the long hair design is scarcely conducted. In the study, the writer focuses on the up-style to utilize the pivot point long hair design 4 techniques (knotting, overlapping, curling, looping), and expand the utilization by styling with long hair and short hair in two techniques (looping, curling). The 6 works of art were created through utilizing the long hair design rule written in a book related to the pivot point. The use way is so simple and easy that anyone who needs the up-style technique from a beginner to a hair designer having a poor up-style ability can learn the technique, so the writer intendsto provide the basic up-style materials through the study. The writer hopes that further studies on the up-style design according to the length of hair to utilize the pivot point based on the study will be carried out and also wishes the popularization of pivot point up-style of using various pivot point hair techniques (cut, foam, color, etc.)

피봇 포인트는 헤어디자인의 공통어를 제공하여 헤어기법용용어의 공통어를 바탕으로 고객의 유형과 장소에 상관없이 생산적이며 창의적인 능력으로 작업을 해결할 수 있으며 피봇 포인트 디자인을 통해 디자이너로서 아름다움을 창출하고 있다. 헤어스타일 연출은 패션스타일과 마찬가지로 이미지연출의 70%를 결정 할 만큼 퍼스널이미지 메이킹에 큰 비중을 차지하고 있다. 헤어스타일을 아름답게 연출하기 위해서는 여러 가지 시술이나 스타일링이 있으나 그 중 업스타일(Up-style)은 여러 가지 헤어스타일 디자인을 응용하 여 원하는 이미지를 장소나 만나는 대상에 따라 연출할 수 있다. 피봇 포인트의 컷이나 펌디자인에 대한 연구는 지속적으로 이루어지고 있으나 롱 헤어디자인을 활용한 업스타 일디자인에 대한 논문은 미비하게 연구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 피봇 포인트 롱헤어 디자인 기법 4가지(매듭짓기, 겹치기, 말기, 고리)를 적용한 업스타일제작에 주안점을 두었으며 그 중 2가지(고리, 말기)는 긴 머리와 짧은 머리 2가지 기장으로 제작하여 활용 도를 높였다. 피봇 포인트 저서에 기재되어있는 롱 헤어디자인 법칙을 적용한 작품 6가지 는 수록되어진 기본 법칙을 응용하여 제작하였으며 그 방법이 쉽고 간단하여 미용초보자 인 여성들부터 업스타일실력이 부족한 헤어디자이너까지 포괄하여 업스타일이 필요한 사람이라면 누구나 보고 따라할 수 있는 기초 업스타일 자료로 제공하고자한다. 향후 연구에서는 이 연구를 통하여 피봇 포인트를 적용한 모발길이에 따른 업스타일 디자인연 구와 다양한 피봇 포인트 영역의 헤어기술(컷, 펌, 컬러 등)과 응용하여 누구나 손쉽게 따라할 수 있는 피봇 포인트 업스타일로서 대중화될 수 있도록 기대한다.
