Gustav Klimt is a representative painter who is famous as colorful and fascinating golden-color, sensual expression of woman and art nouveau’s decorative style in Vienna, Austria. In his work, people can face art nouveau’s style and geometrical style and create a new design by applying the malerisch elements to the existing design. Because art, by nature, contains philosophy of a lot of painters and this by it self is great, people can enjoy the re-created design like above with comfort and the design may also be luxuriously expressed. Somehow, we can think that this is one of the ways to express the requirements by people who seek the various designs. In this paper, we design the four artworks in total: two art works ‘Water SerpentsⅡ’, ‘Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer’ which consist of geometrical characteristics and another two art works ‘Tree of life’, ‘Water Serpents I’which consist of art nouveau style. In addition, we also analyze four features (spiral, Eye of horus, diamond, circle) of the above four artworks. We research the design of hair up-style with the each of the analyzed features and the design was made by color hair spray and hair chalk from Gustav’s colorful artworks. We expect that the result of our research can inspire hair artist with having many ideas and it is possible to create the more innovative design because the area of hair design has boundless potentialities.

화려하고 매혹적인 황금빛색채와 관능적인 여성의 표현, 아르누보의 장식적 양식을 특징으로 하는 구스타프 클림트는 오스트리아 빈을 대표하는 화가이다. 클림트의 작품들에서 크게 아르누보 양식과 기하학적 양식을 볼 수 있으며 이러한 회화 요소들을 접목하여 새로운 디자인을 창조시킬 수 있다. 아트는 본래 화가의 철학이 담긴 예술이므로 그 자체가 이미 훌륭한 디자인이기 때문에 아트를 접목하여 재탄생한 디자인들은 사람들에게 쉽고 친근하게 다가갈 수 있고, 충분히 고급스럽게 표현될 수 있다. 그래서 이것은 다양한 디자인을 추구하는 사람들의 요구에 표현되는 방법들 중 하나라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 기하학적 특성으로 구성되어진 작품으로 ‘물뱀Ⅱ’, ‘아델레 블로흐 바우어의 초상’으로 2가지를 선정하였다. ‘물뱀Ⅱ’은 장식적 표현과 함께 관능적인 여인 두 명이 그려진 인상적인 작품이며, ‘아델레 블로흐 바우어의 초상’은 한 여인의 초상화로 콤플렉스를 감추기 위해 화려하게 그린 작품이다. 또 아르누보 특성으로 구성되어진 작품으로는 ‘생명의 나무’, ‘물뱀Ⅰ’으로 2가지를 선정하였다, ‘물뱀Ⅰ’은 서로를 탐닉하는 듯 보이는 에로티시즘 적인 작품이고, ‘생명의 나무’는 웅장하게 벽화로 그려진 작품이다. 그래서 총 4가지 작품으로 새롭게 디자인하여 제작하였고, 4가지 작품들에 나타난 소용돌이모양, 호루스의 눈, 다이아몬드, 원형 등 총 4가지의 특성들을 분석하였다. 분석한 각 특성들을 사용하여 새롭게 헤어 업스타일 디자인을 연구하고, 화려한 색채를 담고 있는 구스타프 클림트 작품을 통하여 컬러를 헤어 컬러 스프레이와 헤어 초크로 입힌 후 작품을 제작하였다. 이와 같은 연구 결과를 통하여 회화와 접목한 헤어디자인은 수많은 아이디어를 낼 수 있으며, 헤어라는 무한한 소재를 통하여 창의적인 디자인을 만들 수 있으리라 사료된다.
