The Buddhist monk Mugyung Jasu(無竟子秀), who lived in the late 17th century to the first half of the 18th century in the south of Joseon, gave positive values to literary which help to preserve and examine the spirit. The contents of his literary are characterized by its emphasis on historical facts. Interest in historical facts is highlighted in the style of ‘sajeoksa(事蹟詞)’ that is unique to Mugyungjipmungo(無竟集文稿). Much of the content is the same as the ki(記), but the title ‘～sajeoksa’ rather than ‘～ki’ is meant to stress historical facts. Other monks in Joseon didn't write on historical facts by pianliwen(騈儷文). The historical interest in the temple became prevalent in the 18th century, and Mugyung is believed to have led the trend following Seolam Chubung(雪巖秋鵬). Mugyungjipmungo has a lot of expressions of distich and especially in the case of sajeoksa, many writings are composed entirely of distich. Mugyung frequently used the writings of Wang Jwa(王屮) and Wang Bal(王勃), and Choi Chiwon(崔致遠) when he wrote the pianliwen. From the fact that the writings of Wangjwa can not be easily found in the writings of other monks, we can assume the wide reading category of Mugyung.

17세기 말에서 18세기 전반기에 남쪽에서 활동한 승려 무경은 문장이 마음을 보존하고 살피는 데 도움이 된다고 적극적인 가치를 부여하였다. 문장 내용 면에서는, 역사적 사실을 중시하는 점이 특징이다. 역사적 사실에 대한 관심은 󰡔무경집문고󰡕에 특유하게 보이는 ‘사적사(事蹟詞)’ 양식에서 두드러진다. 내용은 대체로 기(記)와 동일한데 ‘～기’라고 하지 않고 ‘～사적사’라고 한 것은 역사적 사실을 기록한다는 점을 강조하기 위함이다. 다른 승려들이 쓴 글 중에 ‘사적(事蹟)’과 관련된 글들을 보면 대개 변려문으로 되어 있지는 않다. 사찰에 대한 역사적 관심은 18세기를 전후로 하여 일반적 성향이 되었고 무경은 설암추붕(雪巖秋鵬)에 이어 그러한 흐름을 선도한 것으로 평가된다. 『무경집문고』는 대구 표현이 빈번하게 보이며 특히 사적사의 경우는 글 전체가 대구로 이루어져 있는 글이 많다. 무경은 변려문을 지으면서 남조(南朝) 제나라의 왕좌(王屮)나 당나라 왕발(王勃), 그리고 최치원의 글을 자주 활용하였다. 왕좌의 글은 다른 승려의 문집에서 쉽게 볼 수 없다는 점에서 무경의 넓은 독서 범주를 알 수 있다.
