The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the art therapy program on suppression of behavior problems by conducting art therapy program to a school maladjusted child. The subject of this study is single male child of elementary school 3rd grade, and the art therapy program was conducted once a week, 50 minute per session, total of 14 sessions. The measuring tool was Burks' Behavior Rating Scales(BBRS), and the behavior change by progression of the session was evaluated before and after each session by KSD. The results of this study are as follows. First, BBRS indicates the art therapy program has positive effect on syppression of behavior problems. Second, the inspection results of the qualitative effect of KSD indicates that the school adaptation level and self confidence was enhanced. Third, the inspection results of each session show that the art therapy program brings positive effect on behavior change. The behavior problems on school life such as, the difficulties of self expression and peer relation, the negative perception to school life and the enervation were relieved by the art therapy program. And positive self expression abilities in home life and everyday life was enhanced.

이 연구는 학교부적응을 나타내는 아동에게 미술치료 프로그램을 실시하여 문제행동 감 소에 효과가 있는지를 살펴보고자 수행한 것이다. 연구는 초등학교 3학년 남아를 단일대상 으로 실시한 것으로, 미술치료 프로그램을 주 1회, 50분씩, 총 14회기를 실시하였다. 측정도 구는 아동행동평정척도(BBRS)를 실시했으며, KSD를 도구로 회기별 진행과정의 행동변화 를 사전·사후에 살펴보았다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아동행동평정척도에서 긍 정적인 효과를 나타냈다. 둘째, KSD 검사의 질적 효과를 분석한 결과 학교생활 적응수준과 자신감이 향상되었다. 셋째, 회기별 관찰을 통하여 행동변화에 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 밝혀 내었다. 미술치료를 통해 또래관계와 자기표현의 어려움, 학교생활에 대한 부정적인 인식과 무기력 등 학교생활에서의 문제행동이 완화됐으며, 가정생활과 일상생활에서 긍정적인 자기 표현력이 향상된 것으로 나타났다.
