This study is primarily aimed at analyzing the recognition and cooperation of the two countries in relation to environmental issues in China. During the 25th anniversary of the Korean-Chinese diplomatic relations, there have been many conflicts between the two countries in the areas of economy, history, culture, and security. However, the possibility of conflict in non-traditional security is increasing due to the recent fine dust particle in Korea. Therefore, this study examines how Korea and China recognize environmental problems. This is because of differences in mutual recognition cause conflicts. In addition, since objective and scientific research is important in reducing the gap of mutual recognition and resolving conflicts, the tendency of academic research on the causes of environmental problems is analyzed. Finally, this study analyze the policy cooperation at the government level and derive peaceful resolution methodology and implications for environmental problems.

본 연구는 중국의 환경문제에 관한 한중 양국의 인식과 협력을 분석하는 것을 주목적으로 한다. 한중 수교 25주년 동안 양국 사이에는 경제, 역사문화, 안보의 영역에서 많은 갈등 사건이 발생하였다. 하지만 최근 한국 내에서 발생하는 미세먼지로 인해 비전통 안보 영역에서의 갈등 가능성이 커지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 먼저 한중 양국이 환경문제를 어떻게 인식하고 있는지 살펴본다. 상호 인식의 차이는 갈등 발생의 가능성을 내포하고 있기 때문에 국가관계에서 중요하게 다루어야 할 문제이다. 또한 객관적이고 과학적인 연구는 상호 인식의 격차를 줄이고 갈등 발생을 미연에 방지하는데 영향을 주기 때문에 환경문제 발생 원인에 대한 학계 연구 경향을 분석하였다. 마지막으로 정부 차원에서의 정책 협력을 분석하고 환경문제에 관한 평화로운 해결 방법론과 시사점을 도출하였다.
