영어
This paper compared and contrasted the volition expression in Japanese and Korean, focusing on grammatical forms and grammaticalized forms. Analysis results are as follows. •In morphorlogical category of sentence type, Japanese has volition form, but korean does not. •Instead Korean has morphological category dedicated to volition depending on the presence of keyss. •Decalrative of non-past can mean volition in Japanese, but cannot in Korean. •Hortative is derived from Volitonal in Japanese, whereas Volitional is derived from Hortative in Korean. •The grammaticalized forms of eyaci or eyakeyss are considered to be used in order to represent the non communicative volition in Korean. •The grammaticalized form of ulkey(yo) is considered to be used in order to represent the communicative volition in Korean. •In Korean, ulkeya/ulkeyeyo means the volition with association function, but ulkey(yo) does not.
