The purpose of this study was to investigate occupational characteristics relevant the change in the number of jobs according to the science and technological development. For this purpose, basic statistical analysis, correlation analysis, and ordinal logistic regression analysis were conducted using the survey data of the Korean Occupational Index surveyed 3,500 workers in Korea. The main results are as follows. First, the number of job vacancies in Korea is expected to be maintained at present but will decline in 10 years from now. Particularly, the decrease in jobs was expected to occur in a large number of jobs, such as device and machine manipulation and assembly workers, and simple laborers. Secondly, occupational characteristics related to the increase in the number of jobs after ten years according to the science and technological development are characterized by high importance of qualifications and foreign language ability at the time of entry, low importance of practical experience, high demands on creativity in the job, high work complexity and autonomy, easy to do work-life balance and return after a career break, and the risk is low. Based on the results of this study, the researcher proposed some suggestions to prepare for future work changes and suggested an in-depth future research.

이 연구의 목적은 과학기술 발전으로 나타나는 일자리 수 변화에 대한 현직자의 인식과 이에 관련된 직업특성 요인을 파악하는 데 있었다. 이를 위하여 직업지표 조사(2016)에서 현직자 3,500명의 조사 자료를 사용하여 기초통계분석, 상관분석, 순서로지스틱 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 주요한 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 우리나라 현직자들은 과학기술 발전으로 인하여 나타나는 일자리 수 변화에 대하여 현재는 유지되지만 10년 후에는 감소될 것으로 전망하였다. 특히, 장치·기계조작 및 조립 종사자, 단순노무 종사자 직업군에서 일자리 수 감소가 많을 것으로 보았다. 둘째, 과학기술 발전으로 인하여 나타나는 10년 후의 일자리 수 증가에 관련된 직업특성 요인은 입직 시 자격증 및 외국어 능력의 중요성이 높고, 실무경험의 중요성은 낮으며, 직무에서 창의성이 높게 요구되고, 업무 복잡성 및 자율성이 높으며, 감정노동 강도가 높고, 일-가정 균형 및 경력단절 복귀가 용이하며, 위험성은 낮은 특징을 나타내었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 미래의 직업세계 변화에 대비하는 과제와 심층적인 분석을 포함한 후속 연구를 제언하였다.
