Self-efficacy on IT can useful on predicting student's performance in IT education. However, as the use of computer and inter-net has been generalized on all fields, the measures on computer or inter-net self-efficacy, which are user-oriented, are getting less powerful on understanding students' aptitude and performance in IT education. In this point, this study attempts to distinguish user oriented self-efficacy and engineer oriented self-efficacy and to examine the relationship among education performance and two concepts of IT self-efficacy through an empirical study.
As the results, user oriented self-efficacy has the significant influence on engineer oriented self-efficacy, but does not on IT education performance. On the while, engineer oriented self-efficacy shows the significant relationship with education performance.

컴퓨터와 인터넷과 같은 정보기술에 대한 개인의 자기효능감은 웹시스템 개발 및 운영과 관련된 IT학과에서의 학생들의 교육성과를 예측하는데 중요한 기준이 될 수 있다. 그러나 기존의 정보기술에 대한 자기효능감 측정항목들은 일반 사용자 수준에서의 인터넷 및 컴퓨터 활용능력에 초점을 두고 있다. 때문에 전문성이 요구되는 웹시스템 개발 및 운영 관련 분야에서의 교육성과를 예측하기에는 괴리가 존재한다. 이러한 점에서 본 연구는 선행연구에서 나타난 관련 일반 사용자 지향적 자기효능감과 구분될 수 있는 운영자 및 개발자 지향적 자기효능감 개념을 개발하고, 두 가지 자기효능감과 교육성과와의 관계를 실증연구를 통하여 살펴보았다.
분석 결과에 따르면 기존의 사용자 지향적 자기효능감은 운영자 및 개발자 지향적 자기효능감에 긍정적인 영향을 주고 있으나 교육성과에 대한 유의한 영향력은 나타나지 않았다. 반면에 운영자 및 개발자 지향적 자기효능감은 교육성과에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다.
