The purpose of this study is to explain the appropriateness of commercial Economy Curriculum business high school. This study aims ⑴ to investigate the changes of the environments for commercial education; ⑵ to analyze the actual conditions of commercial education; and ⑶ to suggest improvements in commercial curriculum. For the study, the data was gathered march from April through analyzing the texts and the environments for commercial education, and reviewing the literature on commercial curriculum, was categorized into 4 factors-characteristics, aims, and contents of the commercial subject. The factors were analyzed using the results of questionnaires by 94 commercial teachers in 7 cities. The findings of this study suggest that ⑴ the contents of the commercial subject should be restructured systematically rather than changing the characteristics or aims of the commercial subject; ⑵ the names of the subjects should be the representative of commercial arear; but ⑶ the system of the contents for commercial curriculum should be reconstructed newly in every chapters to meet the proper requirements. in hereafter, a study nation level expect content systems of establish unit contents factor outstanding after specialist subject get through Delphi survey.

본 연구에서는 상업경제의 내ㆍ외적 환경 변화를 탐색하고, 교과서를 분석하여 교육과정의 개선 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 상업경제 과목은 기초 이론교과이면서 공통필수 과목 중 하나이다. 실증분석 결과 교과의 성격이나 목표를 개선하는 것 보다는 내용을 새로이 체계화하고 구조할 필요가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 교과명은 과목이 갖는 상업계열의 대표성을 고려하여 그대로 유지하는 것이 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 교과 교육과정 내용 체계는 각 단원을 시대적 환경을 고려하여 새로이 구성하여 체계화할 필요가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 각 단원의 개정 방안으로 ‘Ⅰ. 경제 활동과 상업’ 단원은 경제 관련 부분을 줄이고 상업의 중요성 내용을 강화하고, ‘Ⅱ. 유통경제’ 단원에서는 생산, 소비활동뿐만 아니라 판매 즉, 마케팅 내용을 추가할 필요가 있으며, ‘Ⅲ. 금융’ 단원은 생활금융의 내용으로 개선할 필요가 있다. 또한 금융뿐만 아니라 부동산, 투자 등 재무적 지식도 포함할 필요가 있다. ‘Ⅳ. 정보통신’단원은 전체적으로 내용 수정을 하여야할 부분으로 상업의 새로운 영역으로 자리 잡은 전자상거래 내용을 대단원으로 하여 새로이 구성할 필요가 있다. ‘Ⅴ. 국제경영과 국제경제’ 단원은 세계화에 부응할 수 있는 내용으로 재구성할 필요가 있다. 향후 국가수준의 연구에서는 단원별로 구체적인 내용요소를 추출 전문가를 대상으로 델파이 조사를 하여 내용체계를 확립하기를 기대한다.
