The purpose of this study is to establish policy direction for the promotion of the gateball, which is well known as sports for the elderly. First, it was established by using literature review and SWOT analysis data that reviewed previous studies focusing on gait - related policies and government - oriented data. Based on the presented contents, we gathered the opinions of experts from five times in total, and developed detailed policy tasks. Expert opinion convergence was first classified by direction of direction based on the results of discussion. Participants consisted of 8 professors including five professors in the physical education field, one in charge of the gateball association, and two in the physical education association including the researcher. The results of this research method converge as follows. First, the gateball promotion of the generations of Oullim Silver Sports, second, the change of the gateball as the life sports that the culture, the welfare and the health converge. Third, the elderly provide a good environment to enjoy the gateball. Finally, The propulsion direction was set.

이 연구는 노인들의 스포츠로 각광 받고 있는 게이트볼 진흥을 위한 정책추진 방향을 수립하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이에 선행연구 고찰 및 전문가 심층인터뷰를 통한 전문가 의견을 수렴하였다. 가장 먼저 게이트볼과 관련된 체육정책 및 정부 중심의 자료를 중심으로 선행연구를 검토한 문헌연구와 SWOT분석 자료를 활용하여 설정하였다. 제시된 내용 을 근거로 하여 총 5차례에 걸친 전문가 의견을 수렴하여 세부 정책과제를 도출하였다. 세부과제 도출을 위해 전문가 의견 수렴은 가장 먼저 토론을 통해 나타난 결과를 토대로 하여 추진방향별로 분류하였다. 참여자는 본 연구자를 포함하 여 체육계 교수 5명, 게이트볼 협회 담당자 1명, 체육회 직원 2명 등 총 8명으로 구성하였다. 이러한 연구방법을 통한 결과는 다음과 같이 수렴되었다. 첫째, 세대 어울림 실버스포츠의 게이트볼 추진, 둘째, 문화, 복지, 건강이 융합하는 생 활체육으로서의 게이트볼 변화, 셋째, 노인들이 게이트볼을 즐기기에 좋은 환경 제공, 끝으로 게이트볼 협회의 제도 개 선을 위한 노력으로 정책 추진 방향이 설정 되었다.
