This study identified the structural relationship among positive attitudes, training flow, and training continuity in elementary school Taekwondo trainees. To this end, 443 elementary school students, who were practicing Taekwondo and living in Seoul and the capital area, were selected. Statistical methods used in analysis were descriptive statistic analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability verification, and correlation analysis using SPSS 21.0 program. Moreover, this study conducted confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation analysis using AMOS 20.0 program in order to verify the research hypothesis. Through these research methods and procedures, the following results were drawn. First, positive attitudes of elementary school Taekwondo trainees had a positive influence on their training flow. Second, positive attitudes of elementary school Taekwondo trainees had a positive influence on their training continuity. Third, training flow of elementary school Taekwondo trainees had a positive influence on their training continuity. This result identifies a need to understand potential psychological variables in order to comprehend elementary school Taekwondo trainees’ process of training continuity.

본 연구는 초등학교 태권도 수련생들의 긍정적 태도와 수련 몰입 및 수련 지속의 구조적 관계를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 서울과 수도권에 거주하고 있는 태권도 수련중인 초등학생들을 모집단으로 선정한 후 총 443명을 분석하였다. 자 료처리는 SPSS 21.0과 AMOS 20.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 신뢰도 분석, 상관분석을 실시하였다. 연구가설을 검증하기 위하여 확인적 요인분석과 구조방정식 모형분석을 실시하여 다음과 같은 결과를 도 출하였다. 첫째, 초등학교 태권도 수련생들의 긍정적 태도는 수련 몰입에 정적 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 초등 학교 태권도 수련생들의 긍정적 태도는 수련 지속에 정적 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초등학교 태권도 수련생 들의 수련 몰입은 수련 지속에 정적 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 초등학교 태권도 수련생들의 수련 지 속과정을 이해하기 위해서는 잠재적인 심리적 변인을 이해할 필요가 있음을 확인할 수 있다.
