The present study analyzed feedback from prospective teachers on field experiences in terms of their satisfaction and perceptions on the appropriateness of length and timing, benefits, and problems. Data were collected through a survey administered to seniors at a national university of education who completed all of the field experiences the university offered. The survey questionnaire consisted of 25 5point Likert scale questions and 15 open-ended questions. A total of 353 survey questionnaires were distributed, and 326 were returned. Analyses of the data revealed that satisfaction level on field experiences and the appropriateness of length and timing, benefits and problems the participating prospective teachers perceived by the respondents differed according to the types of field experiences. Based on these results, the study discusses implications and provides suggestions for improvement.

본 논문은 교육대학에서 실시하는 교육실습프로그램을 구성하는 참관실습, 학습지도실습, 실무실습, 수업실습과 관련하여 만족도, 실습시기와 기간의 적절성, 실습을 통해 얻어지는 교육적 이점, 효과적 운영을 위한 개선점 등의 실태를 예비교사들의 환류를 토대로 분석한 것이다. 이 연구를 위해 지방에 소재하는 한 교육대학에서 위 다섯 가지 형태의 교육실 습을 모두 이행한 4학년 재학생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문은 25개의 5point Likert scale 문항과 15개의 개방형문항 등 총 40개의 문항으로 구성되었다. 설문지는 총 353명에게 배부되었고, 이중 92.35%인 326명이 응답하였다. 자료의 분석결과 만족도, 시기와 기간의 적절성, 실습의 이점과 개선점 등에 대한 예비교사들의 반응은 각 실습형태별로 다르게 나타났으며, 본 연구에서는 그 결과를 토대로 교육실습 개선을 위한 방안을 논의하였다.
