The purpose of this presentation is to think about the problem of memory surrounding the 'Post war Japan’ through the novel “under the night”(1994). The reason for focusing on this novel is that It has drawn the tumultuous 1950s, as well it is addressed by the eyes of ‘Koreans in Japan’. Why did a writer, Yang Seok-il write this novel, I would like to think that this is a problem.
