A contrastive study on aspect system between Japanese and Korean - focus on extensive use of Japanese verbal suffix [-tei-] and Korean verbal suffix [-ko iss-] -

This study aims to review the system of aspect between Japanese and Korean, with focus on Japanese verbal suffix [-tei-] and Korean verbal suffix [-ko iss-]. The results of this study follow bellow. (1) The periphrastic expression of Korean verbal suffix [-ko iss-] and Japanese verbal suffix [-tei-], indicates phenomenon-depiction sentance equally. (2) The psychological verbs in Korean verbal suffix [-ko iss-] are also phenomenon-depiction sentence which is hesitated between progressive and resultative meanings. (3) The perfect meaning of [-ko iss-] is a limited expression opposite to [-tei-].
