A study on the relationships between physical activity and successful aging - focused on the aquatic exercise

The purpose of this study is provide basic data that can help in elderly improving the quality of life and successful aging. Wish to figure out effect that physical activity participation through aquatic exercise gets in successful aging in advanced research. First, about concept of successful aging and awareness, among the various cause combination the most important factor confirmed that physical health is realized in highest priority. Second, had a lot of experiment researches about that exert direct influence in physical strength in aquatic exercise and aerobic·anaerobic exercise program as research of physical activity. Result was effect to body capability and psychological well-being, cognition function, dementia prevention. Third, aquatic exercise reduce load that weight eases and goes to knee by floatation of water. Therefore, should encourage actively to elderly who is huging chronic knee pain. Synthesize this study, water exercise that can achieve complex physical activity overcoming physical limitations is thought that it is very suitable exercise to elderly who want successful aging.
