A Characteristic of the Unification of Written and Spoken Language being in the Novel 『Mushasino』 This article has not only a deep concern of the unification of written and spoken language in Japan, but also aiming clearly at the practical character in case of the novel 『Mushasino』 written by Yamada Bimyo. Moreover, It makes clear that characters belong to a general character at the era of meiji twenties or Yamada Bimyo's character through the good office of comparing with the novel 『Ukikumo』. The results are as follows, 1. General Character (1) Appearance frequency of 『Iishasibun』 ; approximately written language 20%, spoken language 70%.
