The purpose of this paper was to identify the giftedness for the gifted in Korea, and to draw an implication for the gifted education in Japan. The characteristics of the gifted from the elementary school to the high school periods were collected by the diverse ways. Average students group and the gifted students were compared. Then, the three groups of the gifted who were in literature, science and art were analyzed. The results showed that the gifted were superior to their cognitive variable, such as intelligence, aptitude in the records from the elementary school to the high school periods. And their affective variables, such as the satisfaction of all school life and the relationship among the friends, and success experience were excellent level on the statistical significant level. These giftedness were based on the cognitive, affective, and success experience during school days. These results were supported by preceding studies. This study has an educational important implication that the gifted are manifested the special educational service printed in the ministry of education in Korea and Japan.
