This thesis is critically to view the current contents system in moral education and is to squeeze out a tentative plan of new contents system in preparation to official approval system of moral education. A curriculum of moral education is a sub-system of schooling idea or goals and at the same time, it has a peculiar characteristics of subject which is discriminated from other general subjects. When we look into the curriculum in moral education under the run of comprehensive schooling, the goal in moral education will be established, and contents system considering a scope and sequence will be woven so as to achieve these goals well. The current contents system in moral education is scope-set by the expanding communities and spiral sequence considering development stages. And life area is divided into four areas, each area has chosen five values․virtues. This thesis suggests the classification of life world as scope instead of expanding communities in the suggestion of tentative plan of new contents system and it chooses the important ethical issue and theme in each area and it suggests ethical discussion and virtues as a method to solve them. Here the world of life is of considering the course of life by appearance of human in the world, and it is divided into the ecological community → the family community → I → the social community → the global community. These settings are concerned as to acknowledge the natural condition of life like ‘I in the world’ out of the egocentrism. When we look into the main stream in each area, the ethical issues which are related to the ecological community are matters such as the life, environment, future generation. There are suggested as ethical wisdoms which can help solve such issues are reverence, love of life, benevolence, economy and so on. The ethical subjects which are related to the family community are the matters such as the dismemberment of family, sex, well-being etc. And there are as ethical wisdoms which are suggested for these matters, affection, forgiveness, moderation, brotherliness and so on. The ethical subjects which are related to I area are the matters such as I as an individual and I as an ethical subject, and the suggested ethical wisdoms are self-realization, self-esteem, and character-building and so on. The ethical subjects related to the social community are the school violence, social immorality, national ideology, North Korea problems, and unification ethics, etc., and the suggested ethical wisdoms are friendship, respect, concern, responsibility, justice, cooperaton and so on. The ethical subjects which are related to the global community are the war, dispute, conflict between different cultures, starvation, strangers, netiquette, NGO, Etc., and the suggested ethical wisdoms are peace, philanthropy, sense of solidarity, love for humanity, toleration, netiquette, and so on.

이 논문은 도덕과 검인정제도에 대비하여 현행 도덕교육의 내용체계를 비판적으로 검토하고 새로운 도덕과 내용체계의 시안을 구상한 것이다. 도덕과 교육과정은 학교교육이념이나 목표의 하위체계이자 여타의 제반 교과목과 구분되는 고유한 교과적 특성을 지닌다. 도덕과 교육과정의 구성과정을 살펴보면, 전반적인 학교교육의 흐름 아래 도덕과 목표가 설정되며, 이 목표들을 달성할 수 있도록 범위(scope)와 계열(sequence)을 고려한 내용체계가 구성된다. 현행 도덕과 내용체계는 생활영역확대법에 의해 범위설정이 되어 있으며, 발달단계를 고려한 나선형의 계열성이 고려되고 있다. 또한 생활영역확대법에 의해 네 개의 영역이 구분되어 있으며, 각 영역별로 다섯 개의 가치․덕목이 선정되어 있다. 이 논문은 새로운 내용체계의 시안 제시에서 생활영역확대법 대신 삶의 세계 분류법을 범위설정의 원리로 제안하며, 각 영역별로 중요한 윤리적 문제와 주제를 선정하고 이를 해결하는 방안으로 윤리적 토론과 덕들을 제안하고 있다. 여기서 삶의 세계는 이 세계에 인간이 출현해서 삶을 영위해가는 과정을 고려한 것으로, 생태공동체→가족공동체→나→사회공동체→지구공동체로 구분되어 있다. 이 같은 설정은 자아중심주의를 벗어나 ‘세계안의 나’라는 자연스런 삶의 조건을 깨닫도록 배려된 것이다. 각 영역별 주요한 흐름을 살펴본다면, 생태공동체와 관련된 윤리적 주제는 생명, 환경, 미래세대에 관련된 문제들이며, 이들의 해결에 도움을 줄 수 있는 윤리적 지혜로서 경외심, 생명애, 인, 절약 등이 제안되어 있다. 가족공동체에 관련된 윤리적 주제는 가족의 해체, 성, 복지 등의 문제이며, 윤리적 지혜로는 자애, 용서, 절제, 우애 등이 제안된다. 나의 영역에 관련된 주제로는 개체로서의 나와 윤리적 주체로서의 나에 관한 문제이며, 제안된 윤리적 지혜로는 자아실현, 자긍심, 수양 등이다. 사회공동체에 관련된 윤리적 주제는 학교폭력, 사회불의, 국가이념, 북한문제, 통일윤리 등이며, 윤리적 지혜로는 우정, 존중, 배려, 책임, 정의, 협동 등이다. 지구공동체와 관련된 윤리적 주제는 전쟁과 분쟁, 이문화갈등, 기아, 이방인, 네티켓, NGO 등의 문제이며, 제안된 윤리적 지혜는 평화, 박애, 연대성, 인류애, 관용, 네티켓 등이다
