Early discovery and education of giftedness are very important to develop potential of the gifted young children the most. Especially, as early childhood has more gaps between actual development and potential development comparing to other ages, adequate educational intervention matching well to the level enables the infant to show more potential ability. So this study has a goal to examine the effect on the creative thinking skill of the gifted young children by applying Super-Thinking Program which is the educational program for gifted young children of Soonchunhyang University as the program of after kindergarten. This study placed 9 gifted young children who are found to have giftedness among the students of O kindergarten into a 16-week-program and used Korean Figural Creativity Test for Young Children (K-FCTYC) to analyze the effect of the program. As a result of the study, fluency, originality and overall result show a significant difference, so we could find that fluency and originality improved upon completion of the experiment more than prior to the experiment. Such results implies that applying the Super-Thinking Program, which is the educational program for gifted young children of Soonchunhyang University, gives a very positive effect on creative thinking skill of the gifted young children.

이 연구는 순천향대학교 대표 영재교육 프로그램인 Super-Brain Program 중 일부를 유아영재 프로그램인 Super-Thinking Program으로 개발하고, Super-Thinking Program이 유아영재의 창의적 사고에 미치는 효과를 통해 유치원에서의 적용 가능성을 살펴보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이 연구는 Super- Thinking Program이 유아영재의 창의적 사고에 미치는 효과를 측정하기 위해 유아도형창의성검사(K-FCTYC)를 사용하였으며, Wilcoxon 부호순위검정으로 통계를 처리하였다. 이 연구결과 Super- Thinking Program을 통해 유아영재의 창의적 사고능력이 향상되었으며, 하위요인으로는 유창성, 독창성에서 유의한 차이를 보여 프로그램의 효과가 입증되어 유치원에서 Super-Thinking Program의 적용 가능성을 확인하였다. 이 연구는 유아교육기관에서 유아영재가 차별화된 교육을 충분히 제공받지 못한 실정에서, 유아영재들이 다른 기관을 방문하지 않아도 해당 교육기관에서 창의적 사고 프로그램을 제공받을 수 있고 그 효과를 확인하였다는 점에서 의미가 있다.
