After the World War, Korea has been notified of the Japanese claims over Dokdo through many official and official ways. Korea has been disregarding these notifications on the grounds of Korea's practical control over Dokdo, and the fact that Dokdo has been Korea's native territory. In the post cold war era, however, Japan's claim over Dokdo is mostly from local governments and the right wing, not from the state government. In Korea also, the response to Japan's claims are mostly from the public, making the whole Dokdo issue an emotional conflict between the citizens of the two countries. The author of this paper analyzes in which ways the Japanese parliament and government handled the Dokdo issue right after the World War. After the World War, the Japanese parliament and government tried to maintain their preferable stance on the Dodko issue. However, these efforts were not rewarded, due to a lack of evidence to support Japan's claim. So overall, this paper analyzes the grounds for Japan developing a new logic to support its claim over Japan, after realizing that the former evidences were not sufficient.
