The fundamental reason local governmental agencies engage in contracting out convention and exhibition centers is to utilize the professional services and technical expertise provided to pursue cost savings, enhanced quality of services, and improved customer service. Thirdly, a team of experts in a variety of professional fields should be procured to ensure that the terms of the contract are effectively carried out. Finally, a system that can assess the ability of the convention and exhibition centers to operate in a variety of different fields must be developed.
