In this paper, the incident Genroku is a case study on the theater. The incident Genroku occurred in 1702 and became Bunraku Puppet and Kabuki 『Kanadehon Chushingura (the story of the Loyalists written by the Japanese syllabary as a model)』 in 1748. However, because of the success of Kanadehon Chushingura, people confused the incident Genroku (also known as the incident Ako) with Bunraku Puppet and Kabuki 『Kanadehon Chushingura』. This mix of historical fact and fictional works and practices is rare in the world of Arts. Possible reasons this yearround situation brought attention to the charm of the real events was due to the ability of the imaginative artist who created the fictional reality. However, it’s necessary to explain the situation. The difference between incident Genroku and Bunraku Puppet and Kabuki 『Kanadehon Chushingura』 is the omission of the act of Harakiri by the writers. The disembowelment scenes were omitted by writers to avoid the Shogunate’s censorship and surveillance in an attempt to keep other warriors from repeating the tragic act and creating concern among the people. The birth of Bunraku Puppet and Kabuki 『Kanadehon Chushingura』 is the first step toward Japanese historical error to historical order.
