The purpose of this study is to analyze the current status and characteristics of the South-North Korea’s Military Disputes in the Dong-A Daily and South Korea government documents. This aims to provide a comprehensive analysis and implications of a military disputes between North and South. As a result of examining the major statuses by year, region, and age, both data showed a similar pattern. The largest number of violations occurred in 1968, and the violations of the armistice in the 1960s increased sharply. Most of the violations of the Armistice Agreement occurred on land. On the other hand, Dong-A Daily reported most of the cases of ‘captured or injured soldier’ or 'spy' cases, while in the South Korean government document, the ‘infiltration of the military demarcation line’ in the DMZ area accounts for as much as half of the total incidents. The Dong-A Daily emphasized anti-communism, emphasizing internal enemies, while the Ministry of Defense-oriented government document emphasized the vulnerability of the military demarcation line, focusing on strengthening defense capabilities.

본 연구의 목적은 ｢동아일보｣와 ｢남한 정부문서｣에 나타난 남북 군사충돌 사건의 현황 및 특징을 분석하는데 있다. 이를 통해 남북 간 군사충돌의 종합적 분석 및 시사점을 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 연도별･지역별･시대별 등 주요 현황을 살펴본 결과, 두 자료 모두 유사한 형태가 나타났다. 1968년에 가장 많은 정전협정 위반사건이 발생했고 1960년대 정전협정 위반사건이 급격히 증가 했으며, 이후 확연한 감소 추세가 나타났다. 또한 정전협정 위반사건의 대부분이 육상에서 발생한 것으로 나타났다. 한편 동아일보에서는 ‘군인 생포 또는 부상’, 즉 ‘간첩’ 사건을 가장 많이 보도한 반면, 남한 정부문서에서는 DMZ 지역에서의 ‘군사분계선 침투’ 사건이 전체 사건의 절반을 차지할 정도로 많은 비중을 차지하고 있다. 이는 동아일보는 반공의식을 강조하면서 내부의 적을 적발하는 것에 주안점을 둔 반면, 국방부 중심의 정부문서는 국방력 강화에 초점을 두면서 군사분계선의 취약점을 강조했기 때문이다.
