The 2015 revised curriculum introduces new programming education to the elementary school in order to prepare the Intelligence & Information society and enhance the learner 's competence. In this study, Design Thinking Model that can be applied to elementary school software education adapted since 2019 was developed. For this purpose, we explore and analyze the Design Thinking model that is being studied abroad, and integrate the elements of elementary school Programming Education with the empathy, divergence, convergence thinking process of Design Thinking and the domestic elementary programming education. It consists of five steps that is Discovery, Requirements Analysis, Algorithm, Programming and Development.

2015 개정 교육과정은 지능정보사회를 대비하고 학습자의 역량 증진을 위해 초등학교에 소프트웨어교육을 도입할 예정이며 이에 따른 교수학습방법이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 2019년부터 시행되는 초등학교 소프트 웨어교육에 적용할 수 있는 디자인 사고 모형을 개발하였다. 이를 위해 기존 해외에서 연구되고 있는 디자인 사고 모형을 탐색 및 분석하여 초등학교 프로그래밍 교육의 요소와 디자인 사고의 공감 및 발산·수렴 사고 과정을 융합한 초등 프로그래밍 교육을 위한 디자인 사고 모형을 탐색·수집단계, 요구 분석 단계, 알고리즘 단계, 프로그래밍 단계, 발전 단계로 개발하였다
