This article intends to introduce the concepts of virus, infectious disease, and immunity that are emerging in contemporary philosophy and humanities discourse. Derrida is one of the most thought-provoking thinkers. Derrida explicitly engaged in the task of creatively reinterpreting the core concepts of modern medicine and biology by borrowing the terms of modern genetics and immunology. In this paper, I focus on the semiotic anthropological imagination of viruses in order to broaden the horizon of image culture. In this paper, I focus on viruses under the view of image phenomena including viruses and biology and human culture in general. do. Most of all, I want to deal with the confusion between virtual and digital in order to summarize viruses with multidimensional semantics that can lead to conceptual confusion.

본고는 현대 철학과 인문학 담론에서 첨예하게 대두되고 있는 바이러스, 전염, 면역 등의 개념을 소개하고자 한다. 이에 대해 가장 적극적으로 전유하는 사상가로서 데리다를 손꼽을 수 있다. 데리다는 명시적으로 현대 유전학과 면역학의 용어를 차용하여 현대 문명의 시스템의 원리를 설명했던 90년대의 저술들을 포함하여 현대 의학과 생물학의 핵심 개념들을 창조적으로 재해석하는 작업에 몰두했다. 이와 같은 논지를 발표한 사상가들을 바탕으로 본 논문에서는 영상문화의 지평을 넓히고자 바이러스의 기호 인류학적 상상력에 초점을 두고 특히 바이러스가 지니는 생물학과 인간 문화 전반을 아우르는 이미지 현상이라는 관점 하에서 바이러스성에 대하여 다루고자 한다. 무엇보다 개념적 혼동을 불러올 수 있는 다차원적 의미론을 지닌 바이러스에 대하여 정리하기위해 가상과 디지털 사이의 혼동을 다루고자 한다.
