Kyoriku is to Bashō of the last years of the poet learned that only about two months, not two years. Nevertheless, the Bashō's verses his great talent was to understand the world. And after the death of a teacher, a poet and activities were hard 『Hentuki』․『Udanohousi』․『Rekidaigokeiden』 such as the publication of the book was excellent Haikai, 『Hontyoubunsen also wrote the book. Kyoriku was active as a theoretician. Kyoriku debate on the theory of the Bashō and Haikai raised to the dignity of Haikai. Haikai as a theorist, he wrote many books.He received deep trust from a teacher for the other side of the way of speaking that was not polite, a faithful personality. Because I was superior in the art of six fields, he who called it “Kyoriku” by oneself kept company with Bashō as a teacher of the pictures of the Bashō in some cases. Was working as a representative of the Haikai of theorists, 『Inhutagi․『Hakusensyu』 were published in major publications. And he made ​​a lot of good Haikai, being evaluated as a good writer.

許六は、芭蕉の最も晩年の門人で、芭蕉に師事したのは、わずか二年二ヶ月に過ぎない。それにもかかわらず、そのすぐれた才能は、よく芭蕉の精神を理解し、師の沒後、去来と活發に俳論を戰わし、『篇突』․『宇陀法師』․『歷代滑稽伝』と、次々と秀れた俳論書を公にするとともに、『本朝文選』という俳文集を著した。許六の本領は、俳論家として目覺ましい活躍をした所にあるというべきであろう。『篇突』․『宇陀法師』等に芭蕉の俳諧の格式をうちたてようと試み、去来らと俳論を戰わせて蕉風理念の確立に努め、また俳文集․俳諧史論の嚆矢たる『本朝文選』․『歷代滑稽伝』の編著に從った外、『泊船集』を校正して蕉句編纂史上に逸すべからざる補正の功を遺し、『和訓三体詩』に漢詩の俳文化を試みるなど、その業績は多岐多方面にわたって異彩を放っている。それらはいずれも、彼の傲岸不遜な言辭の半面をなす稚氣愛すべきひたむきな性情による熱烈な芭蕉信奉の念からうまれたものにほかならない。六芸に通じていたとして“許六”という号を使った彼は、場合によっては芭蕉の画の師として芭蕉とつきあった。蕉門の代表的俳論者とも評価され、俳文集の最初の書物である『本朝文選』を編集し、「百花譜」․「旅の賦」その他、秀れた作品を殘し、文章家として俳文をよく知っており、さすがに才人の名に恥じず、その業績は多方面にわたっている。
