The analysis analyzed the ideological works in the speeches from a president Park Geun-Hye focusing on the pronoun ‘we.’ For the analysis the pronoun ‘we’ was further divided into three types: speaker- and listener-inclusive, speaker-inclusive, and listener-inclusive. In the speeches the three types of ‘we’ were all used. The most frequent was the speaker- and listener-inclusive ‘we’ which is also the most common and basic use of the ‘we’; it was used to legitimize government’s plan and show solidarity between the government and the people. The speaker-inclusive ‘we’ was also used to legitimize government’s works and avoid the blame for the government. The listener-inclusive ‘we’ was used to also legitimize the government’s work and recruite the people into it, and to show an affection to the people. In the discourse of the president Park Geun-Hye, the people were positioned that they are suffering from adversities and at the same time lead the country to overcome such adversities.

본 연구는 대명사 ‘우리’를 대상으로 하여 박근혜 전 대통령의 연설문에서 어떠한 이념적 작업이 이루어지는지를 분석하고자 한다. 이를 위해 ‘우리’를 크게 세 가지로 나누어 화자와 청자를 모두 포함하는 우리, 화자만을 포함하는 우리, 청자만을 포함하는 우리로 세분화한 후 작업을 진행하였다. 박근혜 전 대통령의 담화에서는 세 가지 의미의 ‘우리’ 모두 사용된 것을 볼 수 있었다. 가장 많이 사용된 것은 청자와 화자를 모두 포함하는 일반적 의미의 우리인데, 이 경우 화자인 대통령과 청자인 국민 사이의 친밀감을 형성하고 국민들의 정부와 한 편이 되도록 하여 국민들을 정부의 일에 동원시키는 합법화 전략을 위해 사용되는 모습을 보였다. 화자인 정부만을 포함하는 우리 역시 국민들을 정부의 계획에 동원시키는 모습을 보이기도 하며, 정부가 받아야 할 비난을 회피하기 위해 사용되기도 한다. 청자만을 포함하는 경우 역시 친밀감을 보여주고 정부의 일을 합법화하기 위해 사용된다. 박근혜 전 대통령의 담화에서는 이러한 ‘우리’의 사용을 통해 국민을 전체적으로 여러 고난으로 인해 고통 받는 피해자로 규정함과 동시에 이를 해결하기 위해 앞장서야 하는 모순된 존재로 위치짓는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
