The purpose of this study is to provide the theoretical basis for enhancing the psychological skill of bowling players by verifying the causal relationship between the bowling player’s coping strategy, competitive anxiety, state confidence, and perceived performance. The subjects were selected as high school, college, and general athletes participating in the 19th National Bowling Association National Bowling Contest. A total of 472 participants were analyzed by objective sampling. Competitive strategy, competitive anxiety, state confidence, perceived competitiveness scale were measured in Likert form, and the research problem was verified by confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. The results of this study are as follows. First, the coping strategy had a significant negative effect on the competitive anxiety (β= -. 143, p <.05), state confidence(β= .567, p <.001) and perceived performance(β=. 171, p <.01) had a statistically significant effect. Second, competitive anxiety had a significant negative effect on perceived performance(β= -. 238, p <.001). Third, state confidence had a statistically significant effect on perceived performance(β= .159, p <.05).

이 연구는 볼링선수의 대처전략, 경쟁불안, 상태 자신감, 지각된 경기력의 인과관계를 검증하여, 볼링선수의 심 리적 기술 강화를 위한 이론적 기초자료를 제공하는 데에 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 제19회 대한볼링협회장배 전국볼링 대회에 참여한 고등부, 대학부, 일반부 선수들로 선정하였고, 목적표집에 의해 총 472명의 자료를 분석하였다. 대처전 략, 경쟁불안, 상태 자신감, 지각된 경기력 척도를 Likert 형태로 측정하였고, 확인적 요인분석과 구조방정식 모형을 적 용하여 연구문제를 검증하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대처전략은 경쟁불안에 부적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤지만(β=-.143, p<.05), 상태 자신감(β=.567, p<.001)과 지각된 경기력(β=.171, p<.01)에는 정적으로 유의 한 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 경쟁불안은 지각된 경기력에 부적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤다(β=-.238, p<.001). 셋째, 상태 자신감은 지각된 경기력에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤다(β=.159, p<.05).
