The study is intended primalily to explore the procedures of the licensing contract and censorship for the foreign produced video programs. In detail, two stages in the whole procedure for releasing the program are main concerns. The first stage is to make a contract with a licensor after scrutiny of programs. It could be turned out whether or not the program will be successful depending on making a good choice of the program and a thorough making out of the contract. The second stage is to require a primary censorship to Korea Censorship Association in which to investigate and judge the degree of obscenity and violence applying the Law of Phonogram and Videogram on it. The program may receive it as a social valuation in the import country in this stage.
