Team Personality, Team Management and Team Performance

Team members(n=500) assigned in 56 teams were administered to answer the research questionnaire. Correlation test and mediating regression were employed to test the hypotheses while confirmatory factor analysis was used to confirm validity of the four-factor team management model. The mediating role of team management in the relationship between team personality and team performance was examined using Baron and Kenny`s approach. The results are as follows: Firstly, at the team level, the proportion of relatively conscientious and open members in a team was related positively to general team management and team performance. Secondly, the study reveals that team management is a complete mediator in team personality and team performance relations.
