Literatures of post－restructuring outcome have concentrated on the argument that post－restructuring productivity could be changed with the aid of formulation and implementation of restructuring strategy itself. However, argument of post－restructuring productivity enhance- ment would be meaningless unless fundamental restructuring drivers, which were known as detrimental to over－diversification and corporate performance crisis, would be removed during the restructuring period of a focal firm. Based upon the explanations on the controllability and dissolvability of critical restructuring drivers several propositions for future research and implications for restructuring practice would be suggested in this paper.
