This study is a review of Golgyemi (comic beauty) of 『Wakanhanasikai,』which tells stories about Samurai, Ronin,･women at bars, prostitutes, husbands and wives, the disabled, Joruri and Kabuki. As a result of the study, the following was found; 1. In the stories of Samurai and Ronin, the humor was mainly used to describe Samurais who had little dignity and prestige and Ronins who suffered hardships in life. 2. Regarding women at bars and prostitutes, rather than licentious stories about sex, the essential humor was conveyed using funny episodes and failed sex stories. 3. Most stories about husbands and wives talked about the wife’s excessive makeup, their sexual relationship, a wife’s low intelligence, a husband who was beaten by his wife, a wife’s adultery, etc., but there were some surreal stories such as talking about a wife cutting her neck, which was used as a point of laughter. 4. Concerning Joruri and Kabuki, the comic materials regarded the Kabuki actor’s skin care or nonsensical happenings during the performance. 5. Stories of the disabled focused on bluffing as the humorous point, such as crossing the river without clothes because of being crippled or a deaf old man pretending that he could hear.

본고는 『와칸하나시카이』에 수록된 사무라이와 로닌, 유녀와 창녀, 부부, 장애인, 조루리, 가부키와 관련된 이야기들이 추구하고자한 골계미에 대해서 검토한 것이다. 검토의 결과, 다음과 같은 결론을 도출할 수가 있었다. 1. 사무라이와 로닌과 관련된 이야기에서는 위엄과 위신이 미미해진 사무라이의 모습과 생계 때문에 어려움을 겪고 있는 로닌의 현실을 골계구상의 주된 소재로 활용을 하였다. 2. 유녀와 창녀와 관련된 작품에서는 정사와 관련된 육담보다는 재미나는 에피소드나 잠자리실패 등의 이야기가 웃음의 주된 골자였었다. 3. 부부와 관련된 작품에서는 아내의 짙은 화장, 부부관계, 아내의 무식함, 아내에게 구타당함, 아내의 불륜과 관련된 것이 대부분이었지만, 거기에 잘린 아내의 목이 말을 하는 등의 비현실적인 내용도 웃음의 포인트로 활용되고 있었다. 4. 조루리･가부키와 관련해서는 가부키배우의 피부미용이나 공연과 관련된 어이없는 해프닝 등을 재미의 소재로 이용하고 있었다. 5. 장애인 관련의 이야기에서는 앉은뱅이 때문에 옷을 벗고 강을 건넌다거나 귀머거리노인이 소리가 들리는 것처럼 허풍을 치는 데에 재미의 초점이 맞춰져 있었다.
