The Shunkan story within 『Heikemonogaatari』, which was established in the 13th century, has been reproduced into diverse genres from the middle ages and modern times until today. This paper examined the influence of relations between sources and follow-up sources of a total of eight works based on the Shunkan story. These works were divided into three types, namely works that fully reflect the original story, works not reflecting the original, and works not belonging to either of these categories. The categorization was based on the method of acceptance, interpretation, and reproduction of the original, after examining the characteristics of each. Among them, Shunkan of 『Heikenyogyonosima』 by Chikamatsu Monzaemon and 「Shunkan」 by Akutagawa Ryunosuke were determined to be different from other works in respect of the acceptance/interpretation of the original, transformation of characters, and changes in surrounding elements. Contrary to other works, these two works showed such solid acceptance and interpretation of the original while changing the characters more solidly by viewing the entire surrounding situations rather than simply considering ‘Shunkan’. They created a new story by changing the characters, thereby fully reflecting the theme (a view of life as something transient and empty) of the original 『Heikemonogaatari』 of the story, which is a slight deviation from the approach in other works. Existing research on classical literature and the subsequently reproduced modern literature mainly focused on the transformation aspect, phases of the times, and reflection of authors' ideas. However, this paper examined the correlation, location set-up, and methods of accepting and interpreting the original based on a series of work groups using the same material. In future, this is expected to be helpful in respect of the modern acceptance of classical literature.

13세기에 성립된 『헤이케모노가타리』 속의 슌칸설화는 중세, 근세를 거쳐 근 현대에 이르기까지 여러 장르로 재생산되어져 왔다. 본고에서는 슌칸설화를 소재로 하는 총 8편의 작품들 사이의 전거 및 후속 전거와의 영향관계를 살펴보았다. 이는 원전의 수용과 해석, 그리고 재생산의 방법을 바탕으로 원전에 충실한 작품, 그렇지 않은 작품, 어느 쪽에도 속하지 않은 작품의 세 개로 나누어서 각각의 특징을 살펴보았다. 그 중에서도 지카마쓰몬자에몬의 『헤이케뇨교노시마』의 슌칸과 아쿠타가와 류노스케의 「슌칸」은 원전의 수용과 해석, 그리고 인물의 변용과 함께 그 주변의 요소들의 변화가 다른 작품과는 차이를 보였다. 이 두 작품은 여타 작품과는 다르게 원전의 수용과 해석이 입체적이 었으며 ‘슌칸’만을 보고 있는 것이 아니라 그 주변 상황을 함께 살펴보고 인물이 입체적이 될 수 있게 함께 변화시켰다. 이렇게 인물을 변화하여 새로운 이야기를 만들면서 원전인 『헤이케모노가타리』가 가지고 있는 무상관이라는 주제의식은 변하지 않고 이야기 속에 그대로 투영시키고 있어 여타 다른 <슌칸> 작품들과는 조금 차별화된 모습을 보여주고 있다. 기존의 고전문학와 재생산된 근현대 문학의 연구는 변용양상, 혹은 시대상, 작가의 사상의 투영이라는 측면에서 연구되었다. 그러나 본고에서는 동일한 소재를 바탕으로 하는 일련의 작품군을 바탕으로 상호관계성과 그 안에서 위치설정, 그리고 이를 통하여 원전의 수용과 해석 방법을 살펴보았다. 이는 이후 고전문학의 근현대적인 수용이라는 측면에서 도움이 되리라 생각한다.
