The purpose of this thesis is to consider the Borrowed Chinese Characters that appear in the Group of Xie in Japanese of ancient times. To discuss this in the thesis, I extracted Shaku’on Kana from the Man’yosyu and Nihonsyoki groupβ and Kojiki. Subsequent to this work, I categorized these Borrowed Chinese Characters according to the sound system of the Middle Ages. Then I considered the Rhyme and Sound by comparing Sino-Korean and Sino-Japanese Go’on and Sino-Japanese Kan’on. In addition, I analyzed the Notations of Chinese Characters that appear in Sino-Korean and Sino-Japanese Go’on, and those that appear in Sino-Japanese Kan’on. As a result, I found the main forms that appear in the Group of Xie, namely ‘the type E,’ ‘the type E of Medial I,’ and ‘the type E of Medial ï.’ Among these forms, ‘the type E of Medial ï’ corresponds with ‘ㆎ(ɐi)’, whereas ‘the type E of Medial i’ corresponds with ‘ㅐ(ai)’. I think these phenomena have their origins in the separation of the vowel from form ‘A,’ which is not separated to ‘aㆍɑ’ and ‘ɐㆍʌ’. Moreover, these Borrowed Chinese Characters were written by ‘Migrants to Ancient Japan’ who could distinguish between ‘Medial ï’ and ‘Medial i’ because they had a language system which could distinguish between the two forms. Thus, there is a high probability that Kiki-Man’yo had been formed under the influence of ancient Sino-Korean. Apart from this, Kiki-Man’yo has a different system compared to Sino-Japanese Go’on.

본 연구는 상대 일본어 해섭(蟹攝) 차자표기(借字表記)에 관한 고찰로 『만엽집(万葉集)』, 『일본서기(日本書紀)』β군, 『고사기(古事記)』에 나타나는 음가나(音仮名)를 중고음(中古音)의 체계에 맞게 분류하고, 한국한자음과 오음(吳音) 및 한음(漢音)의 자음형(字音形)과의 비교ㆍ분석을 통하여 차자표기에서 나타나는 음운(音韻)상의 특징에 관하여 고찰하였다. 그 결과 해섭에서 나타나는 주된 형태로는 -e형, -e갑류형, -e을류형이 있으며, 이 가운데 -e을류형은 한국한자음의 ‘ㆎ’와, -e갑류형은 한국한자음의 ‘ㅐ’와 대응하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이는 상대의 모음이 분화되지 않은 ‘A’의 형태에서 점차 저위모음인 ‘aㆍɑ’와 중저위모음인 ‘ɐㆍʌ’로 분화됨에 따라서 형성된 것이라고 생각된다. 또한 이 같은 차자표기는 갑을류의 구별이 가능했던 자음체계를 지닌 한반도계 도래인에 의하여 표기된 것이므로 기기만요(記紀万葉)는 고대 한국한자음의 영향을 받아 형성되었을 가능성이 높으며 오음의 체계와는 다른 체계라고 판단된다.
