The purpose of this study is to suggest applying NCS to curriculum of department of military to train military leaders. For achieving this purpose, we came up with developing human resources, relationship between Military Studies curriculum and NCS, and planning for improvement of curriculum and verified comprehensively the results via literature reviews and experts’ councils. The results of the study are as follows; First, the ability to be equipped as a military leader is the same as or similar to the basic vocational ability. Thus, it is possible to apply the basic formality of NCS to the curriculum of the Military Studies. Second, in cooperation with the military specialization program, it is possible to organize the cooperation process with NCS related departments, lifelong education institutes and external organizations. Third, in order to achieve the objectives of the military specialization program, NCS-related programs need to be designated as mandatory courses or converted into the credit system. Fourth, it is strongly believed that the people, working in civilian society after discharging from military service, can manage their carriers provided the curriculum including the basic job ability is applied to the department of military studies.

본 연구는 군 리더 양성을 위해 군사학과 교육과정에 NCS를 적용한 교과과정 편성 방안을 제시하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 문헌연구, 전문가협의회를 통해 인력양성 목표 및 군사학 교육과정과 NCS 연계성, 교육과정 편성방안 도출하고 타당성을 검토 받았다. 연구결과는 다 음과 같다. 첫째, 군 리더로서 갖추어야 할 능력을 기초직업능력과 비교시 동일하거나 유사하 여 NCS의 구조의 틀에서 교육이 가능하다. 둘째, 군 특성화 프로그램과 연계하여 NCS 관련 전공학과나 평생교육원 및 외부기관과 협력과정을 편성할 수 있다. 셋째, 군 특성화 프로그램 의 목적을 달성하기 위해 NCS 관련 프로그램을 필수과정으로 지정하거나 학점으로 전환할 할 필요가 있다. 넷째, 기초직무능력을 포함한 교과과정을 적용하면 전역 이후 사회로의 전환 에 필요한 경력관리를 할 수 있다. 따라서 민간대학 군사학과에서도 NCS와 연계한 교육과정 편성방안과 맞춤식 교과과정을 개발하여 적용할 필요성이 제기된다.
