It is a kind of emerging changes thathave occurred as the knowledge information age has matured. In this paper, we analyze several representativecases of the youth learning spaces in order to discover the change patterns and to determine whether they arein the right ways for the learning effectiveness. For this study, we utilize PST(Pedagogy, Space & Technology)framework to analyze the interrelationships among pedagogy, learning space and technology. The final purposeof our research is to propose learning space design patterns that are suitable for the youth in the knowledgeinformation age. Through case studies, characteristics of emerging learning spaces are analyzed in relation withPST framework. Although many youths are still studying in isolation, more youths are using many new styles oflearning such as online communication, activity based learning, collaborative learning, smart learning, etc., in theopen on and off line spaces. From this research, we discovered that the commercial spaces are changing in thedirection toward satisfying the needs of the youth, but that the public spaces are a bit slow in satisfying suchneeds.
