The purpose of this study was to understand Buddhism and Buddhist music and its historical traditions of Youngsanjae. It's performance is truly worth browsing through a plan in order to properly understand and appreciate Youngsanjae. Also, by the understanding and appreciation of Beompae, which belongs to the three vocal genre, it can feel more certain that our culture has for many years relied heavily on Buddhism and Buddhist music. The Buddhist painting, ‘Palsangdo’ and ‘Youngsanhoesangdo’ could be understood as a part of the process for the establishment of Buddhism and the Buddhist scriptures containing the various opinions for the music of the Buddhist. For the understanding and appreciation of Youngsanjae, this study selected the contents of Buddhism and Buddhist music and from them established the lesson plans for 5 classes selecting the musical piece of the professional fisheries monk called as Hapjangge of Hotsori, singing Budda with clasped hands with the accompaniment of taejing. Also, through Buddhist ritual music having three types, jakbeopmu of nabichum, beopgochum, barachum, the characteristics of Korean music combined with music, song, and dance could been confirmed the types. Conclusively, the appreciation of Beompae, one of the three types of Korean vocal music, can help Korean students understand and appreciate the Buddhist and Buddhist music by discovering the differences between the three musical types and can help to experience a wider perspective of Korean culture.

본 연구는 영산재를 제대로 이해하고 감상하기 위해 불교와 불교음악, 그리고 영산재와 범패의 역사적 전통성과 그 진정한 가치를 찾아보고 이해할 수 있도록 계획하였다. 또한 범패를 감상하고 따라 불러봄으로써, 오랜 세월 우리 문화에 크게 자리 잡고 있었던 불교와 불교음악에 대해 더 가까 이 느껴볼 수 있게 하였다. 즉, 불교의 이해를 위해 불화 ‘팔상도’와 ‘영산회상도’를 중심으로 접근 하였고, 불교음악은 불교 경전에 수록된 음악 관련 내용들과 음악관 등에 관한 기록을 통해 그 내 용과 의미를 이해할 수 있게 하였다. 영산재의 이해와 감상을 위한 교수·학습 지도안을 중학교 학생들을 대상으로, 역사, 미술, 음악 등의 타교과와 통합지도를 통해 5차시로 분량으로 계획하였다. 이를 위해 선정한 제재곡은 전문적 인 어장스님이 부르는 바깥채비 소리 중 홋소리 ‘합장게’이며, 태징의 반주소리와 나비춤, 법고춤, 바라춤과 같은 3가지 작법무를 통해 악, 가, 무가 함께 전승을 되어온 우리음악의 특징을 불교 의식 음악에서도 다시 확인해 볼 수 있게 하였다. 그리고 우리나라 3대 성악곡의 하나인 범패의 음악적 특징 및 다른 성악곡과의 차이점을 찾아보게 하였다. 그럼으로, 영산재의 범패에 대한 이해와 감상을 통해 우리 역사와 문화에 깊은 영향 미쳐온 불교 와 불교음악을 통찰해 볼 수 있을 것이다. 또한 본 연구를 통해 학생들의 음악문화나 음악적 식견이 더 넓고 깊어지게 하리라 생각된다.
