Creative Activities of Korean elementary schools aim to promote Creativity and Personality as well as a communal spirit which are already inherent in the agricultural culture. Thus, this study developed the agricultural culture education program of Korean music and plays based on the Korean agricultural culture for Korean elementary schoolers. The development of this program was founded on the Creative Activities Model Program by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, and has chosen the contents from agricultural culture education in the cognitive, behavioral, and affective aspects through analyzing the curricula of music and other subjects. From the chosen contents, the educational purpose and three topics for the program have been established. Consequently, this study emphasizes encouraging the education of Korean traditional culture and music for the effective Creative Activities. Moreover, this study expects Korean students to gain a Korean cultural identity from the agricultural culture Education Program pursued in music classes.

2009 개정 교육과정은 교과와 창의적 체험활동으로 교육과정을 이원화하여, 체계적인 교과 학습 과 더불어 창의적 체험활동을 통해 배려와 나눔을 실천하는 창의 인재 양성 교육을 실현하는 데 중점을 두고 있다. 학교 현장에서 창의적 체험활동이 충실히 운영되기 위해서는 창의적 체험활동이 추구하고자 하는 교육 목표를 효과적으로 달성하기에 적합한 프로그램이 마련되어야 하며, 다양한 프로그램을 바탕으로 학생들의 풍부한 체험을 뒷받침해 줄 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 창의적 체험활동의 교육 목표인 공동체 의식을 함양하는 데 농경문화를 바탕으로 생성된 우리 음악과 놀이에 대한 체험이 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것이라 보고, 초등학교 학생을 대상 으로 한 농경문화교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 프로그램 개발은 한국과학창의재단에서 개발한 창의 적 체험활동 모델 프로그램 양식을 기반으로 하였으며, 음악과 및 타 교과의 교육과정 분석을 통해 농경문화교육 요소를 인지적․행동적․정의적 측면에서 추출해 보았다. 추출한 농경문화교육 요소 를 바탕으로 프로그램의 교육 목표를 설정하고, 3개의 주제를 선정하여 프로그램을 개발하였다. 농경문화 속에는 창의적 체험활동에서 중점을 두고 있는 창의․인성 교육 및 공동체 의식의 함양 과 같은 교육 목표를 실현하기에 적합한 내용이 이미 내재되어 있으므로, 농경문화와 접목하여 개 발한 본 프로그램은 학생들이 우리 문화 예술에 대해 폭넓게 체험하고 내면화하고 교과 목표와 창 의적 체험활동의 목표를 도달하는 데 긍정적인 영향을 줄 것이라 본다. 또한 농경문화교육은 음악 과에서 추구하는 문화교육의 일환으로서 기능할 수 있으며, 학생들은 농경문화교육 프로그램을 통 해 우리 문화에 대한 정체성을 지닐 수 있을 것이다. 앞으로 창의적 체험활동 운영에 활용할 수 있 는 우리 문화 예술과 관련된 프로그램이 더욱 알차게 개발되어 학교 현장에 접목시킬 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다.
