Seoul is changed into living space from regionalism due to urbanization. Also village belief is changed as a qualitative thing. In spite of that, transmission host is still native same as the past. But ratio of immigrants is higher than native. Therefore only part of village can transmit village belief. It means that the function and the meaning are limited. There was a lot of functions and meanings in the past, but it is focused on local history and historical culture these days. So it is faced on the problem for community and transmission of village belief. To overcome these, it has to consider to include immigrants in community. It means that village belief should be considered according to changing village due to urbanization. Village belief will be have public functions for rest and relaxation similar with the past. So a park of Bu-Gun-Dang is good aspect based on changing of urbanization.

도시화에 따라 서울의 마을은 지연공동체가 해체되고 주거의 기능만이 주(主)가 되는 공간으로 바뀌었다. 마을을 단위로 하는 마을신앙 역시 마을의 변화에 따라 과거와 달리 질적으로 변모하였다. 그럼에도 불구하고 마을신앙의 전승주체의 하나인 마을주민은 과거와 마찬가지로 여전히 토박이이다. 문제는 서울 마을의 구성원이 토박이보다는 이주민의 비율이 훨씬 높다는 것이다. 전승 주체의 동일함은 마을신앙의 전승 공동체 중 마을주민이 마을의 일부로 좁아진 것을 말한다. 전승주체가 토박이로 좁아진 것은 마을신앙의 기능 및 의미 역시 한정되었기 때문이다. 전통사회에서 마을신앙이 가지던 여러 가지 기능과 의미가 현재는 해당 지역의 역사와 전통 문화로만 좁아지면서 집중된 측면이 크다. 여기에서 마을신앙이라는 공동체성과 전승력의 확보라는 문제가 남는다. 이러한 문제를 극복하기 위해서는 ‘우리의 역사와 전통의 유산’에서 말하는 ‘우리’안에 이주민이 포함될 수 있어야 한다. 이러한 마을신앙 전승집단의 확대는 결국 도시화에 따른 마을의 변화에 마을신앙 역시 함께 해야 한다는 것을 의미한다. 과거 완전한 삶을 구현할 수 있었던 마을은 도시화 이후 거주공간으로서의 기능만을 주로 가지게 되어 휴식과 안식의 역할만이 강조되고 있다. 본고에서는 이에 부군당의 공원화에 주목하였다.
