This study examined the effects of multicultural nurturing attitude of parents perceived by children on multicultural acceptance of children. This study collected data with 470 Gimhae city 4th, 5th, and 6th grade elementary school students as subjects, and data analysis were used PASW Statistics(SPSS) 20.0. The result of this study was as follows. First, gender, grade, and economic situation were found to have a partial influence the sub-factors of multicultural acceptance of the children. Second, multicultural nurturing attitude of parents perceived by children had a positive(+) influence on multicultural acceptance of the children. Third, multicultural nurturing attitude of parents perceived by children were found to have a positive influence on the sub-factors of multicultural acceptance of the children - the ability to form multicultural relationships, multicultural awareness, multicultural openness, and multicultural empathy. This study is meaningful in that it confirmed that multicultural nurturing attitude of parents is a very important factor in improving multicultural acceptance of children. Based on these results, it is discussed and suggested to increase multicultural acceptance of children.

본 연구는 아동이 인지하는 부모의 다문화적 양육태도가 아동의 다문화수용성에 어떠한 영향이 있는지 를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 경상남도 김해시에 있는 초등학교 4, 5, 6학년 470명을 대 상으로 자료를 수집하였으며, 자료분석은 PASW Statistics(SPSS) 20.0을 활용하였다. 연구의 주요 결과는 다 음과 같다. 첫째, 성별, 학년, 경제적 사정 등은 아동의 다문화수용성의 하위요인에 부분적으로 영향을 미치 는 것으로 확인하였다. 둘째, 아동이 인지하는 부모의 다문화적 양육태도는 아동의 다문화수용성에 정적(+) 인 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 아동이 인지하는 부모의 다문화적 양육태도는 아동의 다문화수용성 의 하위요인인 다문화적 관계형성능력, 다문화적 인식, 다문화적 개방성, 다문화적 공감 등에 정적인 영향 이 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 아동의 다문화수용성 향상에 있어 부모의 다문화적 양육태도가 매우 중 요한 요인임을 확인하였다는 점에 의의가 있으며, 이를 토대로 아동의 다문화수용성의 향상을 위한 논의와 함께 몇 가지 제언을 하였다.
