This study has been performed from the analysis of Israeli Defense Acquisition Policy and for the purpose of identifying policy and institutions relating to defense industry of the major advanced countries.Israel has the target to enable large domestic defense companies in earnest in the mid-1990s, to strengthen its competitiveness, whose restructuring greatly increased defense exports. Considering the narrow territorial situation, Israel focused on military strategy policy attitude toward air power and precision strike weapons systems to apply pre-emptive strike concept, rather than defensive, by introducing the defense industry development and competition concept, and thus could accumulate internal power in defense companies competitiveness. As Israel's Defense Acquisition Policy and Promotion look at the major indices into the defense industry seeking to develop domestic defense industry and related support policies and alternatives for the defense export and defense companies enabled development Note is expected to be used as material.

본 연구는 이스라엘의 국방획득 추진정책과 방위산업 주요 현황을 살펴본 연구보고 형태의 사례논문으로서 방산 선진국의 각종 방위산업 관련 정책과 제도를 확인하기 위한 목적으로 진행하였다.전 세계적으로 방산업체 통합을 통한 대형화 개편이 진행된 바 있으며, 각국 정부에서는 자국의 군수 및 방위산업 발전을 위한 정책과 제도적 지원들을 활발히 추진 중이다. 이스라엘은 1990년대 중반부터 본격적으로 자국 내 방산업체들을 대상으로 대형화하였으며, 방위산업의 구조조정 추진으로 경쟁력을 강화하여 방산수출 규모가 크게 증대하였다. 또한, 협소한 영토를 감안하여 방어보다는 선제공격 개념을 적용한 군사전략으로 고도의 항공전력과 정밀타격 유도무기에 집중하였고, 방위산업에 있어 개방과 경쟁 개념을 도입하여 방산업체 기업 경쟁력에 내실을 기할 수 있었다. 이스라엘의 국방획득 추진정책과 방위산업 주요 지표 현황을 살펴보면서 국내 방위산업 발전을 위한 방산수출 활성화 및 방산업체 육성 관련 정책과 대안을 모색함에 있어 참고자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
