This study was aimed to examine the mediating effects of adolescent's Satisfaction with School life in relationships between Temperaments and Emotional stability. In order to achieve the purpose of this research. The subjects were 428 students from M high school students located in Cheongju. Instruments used in the study were as follows: Satisfaction with School life Scale, Temperaments Scale, Emotional stability Scale. The collected data analysis SPSS 18.0. For this purpose, 3 research problems was set; First of all, is significant difference found among Satisfaction with School life, Temperaments and Emotional stability according to demographic characteristics? Second, is significant relation found among Satisfaction with School life, Temperaments, Emotional stability. Third, how is mediating effect Satisfaction with School life in the relation between Temperaments and Emotional stability? The research results are as follows: First, there were statistically significant correlation among adolescent's Satisfaction with School life, Temperaments, Emotional stability. Second, there were mediation effects of adolescent's Satisfaction with School life relationships between sustainability temperament and emotional stability. Third, there were mediation effects of adolescent's Satisfaction with School life relationships active temperaments and emotional stability.

본 연구는 기질(경직성, 지속성, 활동성)과 정서적 안정감의 관계에서 학교생활만족감의 매개효과를 검증하기 위한 목적으로 이루어졌으며, 규명하고자 한 구체적인 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년의 성별 구성에 따른 기질, 학교생활만족감, 정서적 안정감에서의 차이는 어떠한가? 둘째, 청소년의 기질, 학교생활만족감과 정서적 안정감의 관계는 어떠한가? 셋째, 청소년의 기질과 정서적 안정감의 관계에서 학교생활만족감의 매개효과는 어떠한가? 이를 위해 C지역에 소재한 고등학교 재학생 428(남학생: 199명, 여학생, 229명)명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS18.0을 이용하여 통계처리 하였다. 기질과 학교생활만족감이 정서적 안정감에 미치는 영향력을 알아보기 위하여 Baron과 Kenny(1986)가 제시한 순차적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 경직성 기질은 학교생활만족감과 부적상관관계, 정서적 안정감과는 정적상관관계를 나타냈으며, 지속성 기질과 활동성 기질은 학교생활만족감과 정적상관관계, 정서적 안정감과는 부적상관관계를 보였다. 둘째, 지속성기질, 활동성기질은 정서적 안정감 관계에서 학교생활만족감이 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 학교생활만족감이 청소년의 정서적 안정감에 영향을 미치는 중요한 변인임을 시사하며, 향후 청소년의 정서적 안정감을 높이는 데 도움이 될 수 있는 학교상담 및 학교생활 프로그램 개발에 도움이 될 수 있는 기초자료로써 활용될 수 있으리라는 점에서 의의를 갖는다.
