The purpose of this study is to identify the differences between Sigmund Freud and Jacques Lacan on some topics(Real, Imaginary, Symbolic, Mirror Stage, Id, Ego, Signifier and Signified, Metaphor, Metonymy, Condensation, Displacement, Desire, other, Other, lack, Lack, Oedipus Complex, Castration Comples, Phallus, Penis, etc.) and to assist the students of Lacan even to a slight degree. Therefore, this study is not to accept Freud and Lacan critically, not to raise some issues of the research achievement up to now, but to introduce the backgrounds of Lacan’s theory(Levi-Strauss’ anthropological and cultural structuralism, Ferdinand Saussure’s modern linguistics, Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalysis) penetrated into the various areas of culture.
