This study aims to find out the necessity for studying the life of the forgotten table tennis player Yoon Kil-joong who led a life as a member of the national team and leader, and the difference in memory about the appearance of table tennis in 1970∼1980 in Gangwon-do through and the comparison analysis with the preceding thesis paper of Park Seong-il, 「The Life History of Table Tennis Staff, Yoon Deok-bu」. For this, I selected the table tennis player, Yoon Kil-joong who is in its present form as a player and leader by entering the world of table tennis, from the childhood as participant in the past, and looked into it by using the method of oral life histories focusing on the experience, activity and memory of the participant. And the conclusion is as follows. First, Yoon Kil-joong's life coincides with the golden age of table tennis in Gangwon-do in 1980∼90. Yoon Kil-joong has won many prizes at national championships at the same time of founding Seongsu middle and high school, and Seongsu middle and high school contributed to the development of Korean table tennis as well as the development of table tennis in Gangwon-do. Despite receiving good proposals after becoming an adult, he contributed the development of table tennis of Gangwon-do winning for 2 years in Samyang Food team founded in Chuncheon. And he has been a national player and national leader for a long time and increased his reputation. Second, there are four types of methods of guidance by Yoon Kil - joong, who led the development of Korean table tennis. The most important part for him was giving attention to physique and personality of the player to create his own unique style in the world, not infusing ideas forcibly. He also made strong mental strength and motivation through clear goal setting, and emphasized sincerity and confidence to make it. And he emphasized the purity to be absorbed in only table tennis and be able to have attachment to each ball. Third, If I compare it with the preceding thesis paper of Park Seong-il, 「The Life History of Table Tennis Staff, Yoon Deok-bu」, I could confirm the different part in memory of Yoon Duck-bu and Yoon Kil-joong about the appearance of table tennis in the seventies at Seongsu middle and high school. I could confirm different parts in memory of the first opening, Yoon Deok-bu's method of guidance, and in that the early environment of table tennis was bad. I think that there is a difference in memory according to different viewpoint for table tennis due to different positions as a leader and player. Through this study, it was found that Yoon Kil - joong 's teaching method had educational value. And it was found that he directed the table tennis as a purpose itself rather than means although results were also important, by looking at him putting emphasis on the meaning and value inherent in the process.

본 연구는 탁구 국가대표 선수와 지도자 생활을 했지만 잊혀져가는 탁구인 윤길중의 생애에 대해 연구해 볼 필요성과 선행 논문인 박성일 의 「탁구인 윤덕부의 생애사」와 비교 분석을 통해 1970〜80년대 강원 도 탁구 모습에 대한 기억의 차이를 알아보고자 했다. 이를 위해 과거 참여자의 어린 시절부터, 탁구에 입문하여 선수와 지도자, 현재의 모습 을 하고 있는 탁구인 윤길중을 연구 참여자로 선정하여, 참여자의 경험 과 활동 및 기억을 중심으로 구술 생애사 방법을 활용하여 들여다 본 결 론은 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 윤길중의 삶은 1980∼90년대 강원 탁구의 전성기와 맥을 같이 한다. 윤길중은 성수중·고교가 창단 되는 동시에 전국대회규모의 대회에 서 많은 우승을 하며, 성수중·고교가 강원탁구발전 뿐 아니라 한국탁구 발전에도 기여한다. 성인이 된 후에도 좋은 제안이 있었음에도 불구하 고, 춘천에 창단한 삼양식품 팀에서 2년간 우승을 하며 강원탁구발전에 기여한다. 그리고 국가대표 선수와 국가대표 지도자 생활을 오랫동안 하 며, 강원탁구의 명성을 높였다. 둘째, 한국탁구의 발전을 이끈 윤길중의 지도 방식은 4가지 정도로 나타났다. 가장 중요하게 생각했던 부분은 선수들에게 강압적으로 주입 하는 방식이 아닌 세계에서 유일무이 하다고 주장하는 자신만의 스타일 을 만들어 주기 위해 선수의 체격, 성격 등에 관심을 가졌다. 또한 뚜렷 한 목표 설정을 통해 강한 정신력과 동기유발을 시켰으며, 할 수 있다는 자신감과 성실함을 강조했다. 또 탁구에만 몰입하고, 공 하나하나에 애착을 가질 수 있는 순수성을 강조했다. 셋째, 선행논문인 박성일의 「탁구인 윤덕부의 생애사」와 비교해보 면 윤덕부와 윤길중의 70년대 성수중〮·고교 탁구 모습에 대한 기억이 다 른 부분을 확인할 수 있었다. 첫 창단의 기억과 윤덕부의 지도방식, 초창 기 탁구 환경이 어려웠다는 기억에서 다른 부분을 확인할 수 있었다. 이 렇게 기억에 차이가 있는 것은 지도자와 선수라는 입장 차이에서 탁구 를 대하는 관점이 달랐기 때문에 기억에도 차이가 있다고 생각한다. 본 연구를 통해 윤길중의 지도방식이 교육적 가치가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 결과도 중요하지만 과정 속에 내재되어 있는 의미와 가치를 더 중요시 여기는 모습에서 탁구를 수단이 아닌 그 자체에 목적을 두고 지 도했음을 알 수 있었다.
