The purpose of this study is to examine the mediation effect of the school adjustment on the relationships between daily stress and life satisfaction of transfer elementary school students. This analysis is utilized with data from 380 elementary school students from two elementary schools in Sejong Metropolitan Autonomous City. The results of this article show significant correlations among daily stress, school adjustment, and life satisfaction. The mediation effects of the school adjustment are also significant in the relationships between daily stress and life satisfaction. Based on these findings, Promoting school adjustment of transfer students may reduce the daily stress and be more satisfied with their lives.

이 연구는 전학 초등학생의 생활 스트레스와 삶의 만족의 관계에서 학교적응의 매개효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 세종특별자치시에 위치한 초등학교 2곳에 재학 중인 학생 380명을 표집 하였다. 분석 결과, 생활 스트레스, 학교적응, 삶의 만족은 모두 유의한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 학교적응은 전학 초등학생의 생활 스트레스와 삶의 만족 간에서 학교적응이 유의한 매개효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 연구의 결과는 전학 초등학생의 학교적응을 촉진시키면 전학으로부터의 스트레스를 완화할 수 있으며 결국 이들의 삶의 만족도를 높일 수 있음을 시사한다.
