School violence in elementary schools in both Korea and Japan is increasing. In Japan, physical violence has been increasing in Korea in terms of verbal and emotional violence. Regarding sexual violence, sexual violence among students is increasing in Japan, and sexual violence by teachers is increasing in Japan. Such violence is increasingly associated with cyber violence as a result of the increase in the occupancy rate of smartphones of elementary school students in both countries, It is urgent that school violence prevention education suitable for elementary school is urgent.

한일 양국의 초등학교에서의 학교폭력은 증가하고 있는데, 일본에서는 신체적인 폭력유형이 한국에서는 언어적·정서적인 폭력유형이 늘고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 성폭력에 관해서는 한국에서는 학생 간 성폭력이 일본에서는 교사에 의한 성폭력이 증가하고 있으며 이러한 학교폭력은 양국의 초등학생들의 스마트폰의 소지율의 증가로 인해 사이버폭력과 연계해 점점 복합적인 폭력의 양상으로 번져가고 있어 초등학교에 적합한 학교폭력예방 교육이 시급한 실정이라고 할 수 있다.
