Wearable devices are spotlighted on the global market as alternatives of existing smart phones according to the ICT advancement. We classify the wearable device types and application services based on the industrial perspective and present the typical products/services. We also present the unresolved technical issues from the point of input, output, processing and battery technology. In these regards, we present the case oriented ICBM convergence services around wearables devices and also raised key development conditions for wearable device technology and industry.

ICT 기술의 발전에 따라 다양한 형태의 웨어러블 디바이스는 현재의 스마트폰을 대체할 수 있는 제품으로 시장에서주목을 받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 웨어러블 디바이스 유형 및 응용서비스를 산업적/시장적 관점에서 분류하고 대표제품/서비스들을 제시하였으며, 이에 따라 핵심적인 기술들의 현황과 해결해야할 이슈들을 입력기술, 출력기술, 처리기술, 전원기술 관점에서 분류하고 제시하였다. 또한 웨어러블 디바이스를 중심으로 ICT 산업발전을 위한 ICBM 융합서비스들을 사례중심으로 제시하고, 기술적/산업적/제도적 관점에서 미래 웨어러블 디바이스의 발전방향을 제시하였다.
