The purpose of this study is to find out how elementary school students have influence on personality, depression and happiness due to participation in marine sport activities and causal relationship between these variables. For this purpose, we analyzed 200 students (male: 100, female: 100) living in Jeonbuk and Chungnam provinces using the Personality Rating Scale (PANA-X), Depression and Happiness Scale. As a result, first, it was found that marine sports activities affected elementary school students' personality. Second, marine sports activities affect the personality and happiness of elementary school students. Third, the elementary school students' marine sports activities directly affect the happiness. the results of the study are as follows. In the analysis of the detailed index, it was found that there is a significant causal relationship in the path of happiness in 'marine sports activities', 'path of personality', 'personality', 'happiness' and 'marine sports activities'.

이 연구는 초등학생들이 해양 스포츠 활동 참여로 인성, 우울감 및 행복감에 어떻게 영향을 미치고, 이들 변인 간에 인과관계가 존재하는지를 밝히는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2017년 현재 전북, 충남도 지역에 거주하고 있는 학생 193명(남: 96, 여: 97)을 대상으로 인성척도(PANA-X), 우울감 및 행복감 척도를 사용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 해양 스포츠 활동이 초등학생의 인성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 해양 스포츠 활동이 초등학생의 인성과 행복감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초등학생들의 해양스포츠 활동은 우울감 해소는 물론 행복감에 직접적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 해양스포츠 활동을 외생변인으로 설정하고 인성, 우울감 매개변인으로 행복감을 내생변인으로 한 이 연구모형의 전반적인 모델적합도지수가 양호한 것으로 나타나 이론모델로 양호함을 보여주었으며, 세부지수를 분석한 결과 ‘해양스포츠 활동’에서 ‘인성’경로에서, ‘인성’에서 ‘행복감’경로에서, ‘해양스포츠 활동’에서 ‘행 복감’경로에서, ‘해양스포츠 활동’에서 ‘우울’경로에서, ‘우울’에서 ‘행복감’경로에서 모두 유의한 인과관계를 보였다.
