The Nine People Association was a literature organization set up in Seoul in August 1933. Although the association had only existed for three to four years, it yielded fruitful and high-level works, which keep attracting attention from the academic circle. The Nine People Association is usually regarded as an artistic school, skill school and pure literature school or just a modern literary association. In its research, the Nine People Association had close relations with KAFP , which is a commonly-mentioned question. The thesis targets its research focus at the relations between Nine People Association and KAFP. It then expounds on what contents were included in the Nine People Association’s anti-KAFP tenet. Based on this, the thesis further concludes the characteristics of the Nine People Association that cannot be summarized with the terms of artistic school, pure literary school and modern school. The Nine People Association’s anti-KAFP proposition is to literate literature from a certain concept and does not contain other connotations. After experiencing five changes, the Nine People Group was joined by 16 authors and men of letters in a succession. From the cultural and aesthetic perspective, the Nine People Group is a dynamic and open cultural complex. This is because its cultural values reflect unprecedented inclusion. Meanwhile, the aesthetic pursuits of the Nine People Group represent classical and modern characteristics in the great context where the Western and Eastern cultures conflict with each other fiercely.

구인회는 1933년 8월 서울에서 발족된 문학단체로서 3-4년밖에 존속하지 못하였지만 그들에게서 양산된 풍성하고 수준 높은 작품은 학계의 지속적인 관심을 불러일으켰다. 구인회는흔히 예술파와 기교파 또는 순수문학파, 혹은 모더니즘문학의 중심단체로 파악되어왔고 연구가운데 카프와의 관계가 문제시되었다. 구인회의 반카프적 주장은 문학을 어떤 이념의 통제로부터 해방시켜야 한다는 그 이상의 의미는 갖지 않는다. 문화와 심미의 시각에서 볼 때 구인회는 5차례의 변동을 거치는 가운데 16명의 작가 문인이 포섭되면서 이루어진 동적 상태의그룹으로서 한 개 열려진 문화융합체이다. 하여 포용적인 문화가치관을 보여주었고 동서문화의 융합의 시대배경 하에서 고전적이면서 현대적인 심미적 취향을 보여주었다. 또한 이로서구인회의 본체, 그 내함과 외연을 적중하게 조명할 수 있다.
